New York’s design calendar is preparing for a distinctly international gathering as COLLECTIBLE returns to Manhattan for its third New York edition, November 6–8, 2026. With more than 110 exhibitors representing 27 countries, the contemporary design fair is expanding its footprint while creating new opportunities for dialogue between independent designers, galleries, collectors, and cultural voices.
This year’s move to a historic former cinema on East 86th Street introduces a different architectural dimension to the experience. Its soaring ceilings, expansive volumes, and theatrical scale provide a fitting setting for an exhibition built around the relationship between objects, materials, and the spaces they occupy. The new location also signals the fair’s continued investment in New York as an important meeting point for contemporary design.
Among the notable additions to the 2026 program are two new curatorial voices. Alex Tieghi-Walker, founder of TIWA Select, leads the CURATED section with Human Resources, an exploration of late-20th-century office culture and its relationship to ambition, labor, and systems of value. Reimagining the conventional workplace through collectible objects and unexpected design interventions, the exhibition challenges perceptions of corporate environments and the objects that define them.
Meanwhile, Lynette Nylander, Executive Digital Director of Harper’s Bazaar, oversees the FASHION section, examining the intersection of collectible design, fashion, retail environments, and runway presentation. Her perspective brings together creative disciplines that increasingly inform one another, highlighting how furniture, spatial concepts, and fashion can operate as complementary forms of cultural expression.
The fair’s MAIN section features international galleries and independent studios, including OBJEKT, Colony, PLACED, Tuleste Factory, and K’AB JUUN. Elsewhere, the BESPOKE section spotlights commissioned and made-to-order work, with designers exploring the relationship between craftsmanship, functionality, and material experimentation. NEW GARDE continues to provide a platform for emerging collectives and unconventional creative practices.
Beyond the exhibitions, a collaboration between Yabu Pushelberg, USM, and ENSEMBLE brings together modular furniture, spatial design, and Canada's independent design community. The program also includes conversations led by prominent voices across art, architecture, fashion, and media. Discussions range from whether everything should be collectible to the influence of design on hospitality and contemporary culture.
For COLLECTIBLE co-founder Liv Vaisberg, the fair's continued evolution reflects the enthusiasm of its New York audience. “For our third edition, we are bringing the fair to the Upper East Side, where a former cinema provides a striking backdrop for the designers and ideas shaping what comes next,” she said.
With private studio visits, home tours, networking opportunities, and the return of Club COLLECTIBLE, the 2026 edition extends beyond the traditional exhibition format. It positions collectible design as a broader cultural conversation, one where fashion, art, architecture, and craftsmanship intersect.
COLLECTIBLE New York 2026 takes place November 6–8, with VIP previews beginning November 5, at East 86th Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side. For more information, visit COLLECTIBLE.
