Porsche And La Marzocco Revisit Automotive Heritage With The 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Collection

Luxury automotive design and coffee culture have more in common than one might expect. Both are disciplines built around precision, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the details that distinguish an everyday experience from an exceptional one. Porsche and Italian espresso machine manufacturer La Marzocco are exploring that intersection once again with their second collaborative collection, drawing inspiration from one of Porsche’s most celebrated sports cars, the 911 Carrera RS 2.7.

Following their successful 2024 partnership, the brands introduce a limited-edition Linea Micra espresso machine and Pico coffee grinder, translating the distinctive aesthetics of the 1972 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 into a collection designed for the modern coffee enthusiast. The collaboration extends beyond the kitchen counter, incorporating apparel, accessories, handcrafted drinkware, and collectible model cars.

Originally introduced in 1972 as a motorsport homologation model limited to 500 units, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 became an automotive icon through its lightweight construction, performance capabilities, and unmistakable styling. Its signature rear spoiler, affectionately known as the "ducktail," remains one of the most recognizable design features in Porsche history. The model was also the first 911 to carry the Carrera name, establishing a legacy that continues to resonate with collectors and automotive enthusiasts.

For the collaboration, La Marzocco's Linea Micra arrives in three heritage-inspired colorways: Grand Prix White–Green, Tangerine–Black, and Grand Prix White–Blue. Each iteration incorporates Carrera RS lettering and historic Porsche branding, alongside thoughtful references to the original vehicle. The machine's cup rail takes inspiration from the iconic ducktail spoiler, while its black handles feature laser-engraved RS and 2.7 markings. Red and green indicators on the analog pressure gauges further reinforce the automotive connection. A magnetic RS 2.7 badge and numbered "One of 911" plaque complete the design.

Beyond its exterior, the Linea Micra brings La Marzocco's professional coffee-making capabilities into the home. Its compact construction features a convertible three-in-one portafilter, insulated steam wand, accessible two-liter water tank, and LED barista lighting. Through the La Marzocco Home app, users can also adjust temperature settings, manage schedules, and personalize their brewing experience.

The accompanying Pico coffee grinder carries the collection's visual language into the preparation process, featuring an adjustable magnetic portafilter fork and auto-close bean hopper. Together, the two machines create a cohesive home espresso setup that balances technical performance with collectible design.

The lifestyle assortment expands the collaboration through handcrafted espresso and cappuccino cups, barista towels, coasters, coffee canisters, hoodies, T-shirts, caps, and socks. Collectors can also find 1:18-scale Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 model cars, complete with miniature coffee machines.

Exclusivity remains central to the release. The Grand Prix White–Green and Tangerine–Black Linea Micra machines are each limited to 911 units, while the Grand Prix White–Blue edition is exclusive to Germany, with just 150 available worldwide.

Unveiled October 29 at an exclusive event at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, Germany, the collection becomes available October 30 through the Porsche Online Shop, select Porsche Centers, and Porsche Design Stores. The Linea Micra retails for $7,911, while the Pico grinder is priced at $2,125.

For Porsche and La Marzocco, the collaboration demonstrates how automotive heritage can extend beyond the road. By bringing together Italian espresso craftsmanship and German motorsport history, the brands offer enthusiasts another way to experience two distinct expressions of design culture.
